Our Curriculum

At Southway Primary School, we are immensely proud of the rich, varied and creative curriculum we provide for all our children.  From our ‘Stunning Starts’ that introduce the term’s topic, through to our ‘Fab Finishes’, the pupils are immersed in a balanced and broad range of lessons that are personalised to meet individual’s needs and ensure they reach their potential.

Vibrant learning environments, both inside and outside of the classroom provide stimulating areas in which our children learn and capture their sense of awe and wonder.  High quality planning, teaching and learning support ensure that every child is offered a high standard of education.

Threaded throughout our curriculum is the ethos, ‘The best in everyone’ and the ‘Southway Seven’ are firmly embedded in every aspect of school life.

The National Curriculum is taught in a cross curricular manner whereby secure links are made to each subject.  Below is an outline of the themes covered this year.
